Dear photographer wanting to branch out
I think one of the most important things to do when you work in photography is to make sure you have a project going for yourself. A project that you get excited about working on, for little monetary reward during your valuable off-time. It helps with your photographic stamina, it guides you to your voice and frankly its often your best work. Burning out is a real thing for photographers, and one of the best medications I know is just that: the personal project. It can either require a lot of effort or barely any at all, it just needs to come from the heart. That is what makes it beautiful.
Starting in 2019 I will offer some limited spots for mentoring. My goal with teaching is to improve how you structure your work, how you see your stories and how you communicate those outward. If you are interested in learning more about my mentorship spots, please leave your email below and I will keep you in the loop.
