#StoriesFromStorytellers

Hello…

Do you know everyone here? Me neither. Let’s change that together.

I’m Kristine. It’s pronounced Kristina, you can ask me why when we meet. I’m the official Storyteller’s photographer. Meeting people while holding a camera is my favourite way to approach new friends, because at this conference, that’s all we are: Friends who don’t know each other yet. And making photographs is a great ice-breaker.

Also, I need some help. There are about a hundred of you and only one of me, so in order to give this conference some great coverage I’d love to see some joy spread on social media.

I made an assignment, should you choose to take it.

  1. Find someone you’ve never met and introduce yourself. Find out something interesting about them.

  2. Ask to make their picture. Any camera will do. Remember, this is NOT a technical challenge, it’s about humans and making friends, so don’t stress if it isn’t perfect.

  3. Tag @storytellers_photoconference and #StoriesFromStorytellers and post it to your Instagram with a short caption about your new friend.

  4. Do it again.

Throughout the conference I will share some favourites on the Storytellers Instagram page.

And the best news is: If you make the photo WITHIN Hotel Confidante ON YOUR CELLPHONE you can ALSO tag #storytellersphotoconference and be eligible for the Storytellers BIG prize, a Fuji XT2 Mirrorless!!!

P.S. If you want to practice on me you can, you’ll find me milling about looking for people taking a nap, a favourite conference past-time of mine. Nappers beware!
